So for anyone who might have read How Old Holly Came to Be, what was your opinion of it?
Do you think this occured in the Mortal World or Fae?
What time period do you think the story happened in?
Have you tried reading it aloud yet?

I thought it was really cool. I did read it aloud once, it works really well. I think it takes place during the Creation War taking place in Fae and the Lady is a shaper. Possibly Larne's wife.

Yah, I read it aloud once too and liked it better that way. When I read it in my mind it started getting a bit jumbly because of the repetition. But the writing style was really cool I thought. I was wondering if Shawn put the breaks in or if Pat did actually because I thought it was nice touch.
I was also thinking it took place prior too and through out the Creation War. But I was kinda thinking maybe it took place in the mortal world. You know how the Lady leaves in the end leaves and says she will be back. I thought, and now, this is completely speculative with absolutely no support, so....bear with me. LOL! But I thought maybe she leaves in the end because at the end of the creation war, most shapers were sent/locked in fae right? (at least thats the assumption) So maybe she has to leave or flee the mortal world because she is afraid of being persecuted as such, that would explain, in my opinion at least, why she thinks she will be back at sometime in the future.
I also thought maybe the tower is the same tower they reference in the Taborlin story, where he gets locked up, but I couldn't make anything of that thought really.
What did you think about the Shadow man? Do you think its a Haliax reference? I have always thought that Encanis was Haliax, but after reading that, I began to think maybe Encanis was a whole seperate thing as the two seem rather similar.

Ugh.... I've totally missed this book, is it still available or was it a limited edition? I must see if I can purchase it from amazon, I can't miss the creation war!!! I know many fans disliked the part with Felurian, but I'm in love with the Fae world, with the Sithe in particular!

I'm pretty sure you can still get a copy. Pat had some in the Tinker's Pack.
I know for certain you can get an eversion on amazon at the very least. You can probably just go check at Grim Oak Press too.
I think there website is just grimoakpress.com but you might want to google it instead.

Oh yes, It definitely hasn't been translated to anything. That would be awesome if that did. If you can't find a hard copy, I would be happy to provide you the link to the english version on amazon.

I've purchased it from Amazon, finally! As soon as I've finished to translate it, I'll give you my opinion!! Too bad that they didn't bother to translate it to anything... books can create such beautiful, genuine bonds between readers from all the world, that should be always worth the effort.

My first thought was "those are Netalia and Arliden!"... but at the end of the story I changed my mind. I can't figure out who she might be... the first Sithe?
