There were at least three or four scenes in NW that hit me so hard I had to put the book down for a minute or two to clear my head. Were there scenes that affected you a little TOO much? Which scenes gave you massive feels?

The scene where Kvothe's father's lute is broken, and then he doesn't get back in time to go home with the farmer. That was hard for me. He lost something very precious that day, I'd almost say a piece of him broke and you could feel it in the writing.
Another scene that has always stuck out to me is when he is rescued by Encanis. I read that scene all the time. It just feels important to me. Plus, that whole part where he almost dies is nutso.
Also, meeting Elodin. That was not what I was expecting on my first read, I just set the book down and laughed for days. "THAT, was the stupidest thing I have ever seen." BAHAHAHA

I have a hard time reading the scene where Ambrose tricks him into going into the archives with a candle. Going back and reading it again, I secretly hoped it would go differently this time!
I got a little choked up on the "I don't sell used shoes" scene. That was such a tender gesture after such a painful sequence that it really got to me. I love how gently that scene is written and the contrast it had with the rest of his time in Tarbean.

LOL - I totally feel that way about the archives scene every time I read it. I want to be like, NO!! Don't do it! Then just keep hoping maybe something changes....never does. LOL!
I liked the shoe scene too, nice piece of writing there.
