I love tv shows! I don't like summer, because I have a long wait before my favourite shows start again (GoT... what I'm supposed to do until season four??), do you have suggestions for me? I'm watching Dexter (I used to liked it, but... this last season is disappointing!) and Under the Dome ... what are you watching? What are your favourite shows?

I am also addicted to GoT. Both the books and the show are pretty great in my opinion.
It's not serious or dark, like GoT or Dexter, but I'm also a huge fan of Doctor Who. It's fantasy and quirky, and I'm really just in love with it. Eleventh Hour or Blink are good episodes to try if you're not sure you'll like it. And if you like British, clever things try BBC's Sherlock.
As for dark and sort of intense, I'm a big fan of both The Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy. There's a lot of politics and personal relationships in both which makes for interesting dynamics.

I've started watching the new series of Luther (been waiting for that FOR EVER) and it's as outstanding as I'd hoped it would be. Dexter used to be my favorite show (seasons 2 and 3... oof) but Homeland has passed it on Showtime, and the new spy show The Americans has passed even that.
If you're into intrigue and like strong female characters, you seriously can't go wrong with The Americans. It's very, very graphic but nothing is gratuitous and every shot has a purpose. It's like the best kind of film.
I'm also stoked for Breaking Bad to come back. It's getting here fast!

jessicarGoT: I'm fan of the books too! The only problem is that Martin is so damn long with the writing... he made me wait years, and he's not done yet! Sometimes I do hate him Doctor Who: I love it! I've watched all the seasons so far! Sherlock: I LOVE Benedict Cumberbatch!! He's so brilliant and charming, I love his deep voice... but he sure talks really fast!! If I hadn't had the subtitles, I would have lost half dialogues... ! The Walking Dead: everything is better with zombies! The third season was more focused on politics between survivors, leaving the walkers a bit on the background... I expect many tensions in the prison, in the fourth season... but I hope to see more, more, more zombies! Eleventh Hour, Blink: I've never seen these two, I'll sure try them! displacement I do know all the series you have listed, but I've never watched them! Thank for the suggestions. I'll try them too!! Since I also love syfy, I'm excited for Helix to come out....I've missed Battlestar Galactica so much, I hope not to be disappointed again, like I was after watching Caprica!

I've followed the San Diego Comic-Con 2013 from an italian subs community...I'm really curious about the new shows! - Black Sails : Starz production, if I remember well the same of Spartacus? So we can expect lot of muscles, sex and fights... - Helix: I've loved Battlestar Galactica and I really hope this show will bring new shine to my beloved mistreated Sci-Fi... - American Horror Story 3: there's Kathy Bates in the cast! I like her! - Vikings 2: I shouldn't have watched the teaser trailer!! There was a major spoiler !! If you are a fan of this show, beware! - Sleepy Hollow: I liked the movie... I'll watch the pilot - Twelve Monkeys: I don't know what to say about this, it's totally unexpected... I'll give it a chance and I'll watch the pilot What about you guys? What are you going to watch when this summer ends?

I've watched Fringe and I liked it, I got only a bit bored with season two, a bit too slow for my taste.... but its an overall good show. What other shows do you usually watch?

I watched Fringe like an addict when it first came out. Then I sat down to eat while I watched an episode where eels were coming out of people's stomachs and I couldn't bear to ever watch it again.
It's a good show but... damn. They take their grossness seriously.
I hadn't heard that there's a 12 Monkeys TV show coming but now that I've heard of it I can't believe it took so long for them to bring it out! That's going to be AMAZING, 12 Monkeys is still one of my top 3 favorite movies.

displacement That scene was SO disgusting!!!! I'll admit that I've watched Fringe only for Walter Bishop, I loved that character... while the main character Olivia really annoyed me, she was so numb most of the times. I'm excited too about Twelve Monkeys, since I really loved the movie. Don't know if there are new rumors, I'll check them out...

I love Doctor Who too! Go figure. What do you all think of the new Doctor for next season? Other than he's had roles on the show in the past which might be hard for some people to get over. (not me, since he's playing a different character *shrug*) I think he looks like he will be good for the role. I enjoy Game of Thrones from the aspect it gets people reading. The first season was awesome, second started to loose me since I'd read the books and well, after the third, I'm not so concerned about season 4, I thought last season was mainly awful. I was disapointed with a good 70% of every episode. That being said, I'll admit I'm a bit picky. I don't know if you have netflix or anything, but I do and thats mainly where I watch TV, so any show I recommend is available there for instant streaming. I highly recommend Hell on Wheels. I know it's not a typical fantasy/sci fi plug, but I love it, the drama and character writing is really well done and it has the darker aspects it seems like you enjoy. Right now I'm watching Orange is The New Black and I have enjoyed it thus far. But there is a lot of sexual content if that kinda thing bothers you at all. I also really enjoyed Weeds, which was written by the same person, until about season 6, it just started getting a bit over dramatized for my tastes. Older shows I enjoyed were Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis (screw Universe that shit sucked) as well as Farscape. Recently watched all the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel episodes, they were meh. If you haven't watched all of Avatar: Last Airbender the cartoon, I highly recommend that as well. I know it sounds weird to throw out a "kids" show but I felt it was really well written, couldn't stop watching it. Legend of Korra was cool too and I'm pretty sure you can stream that instantly from Nickolodean. I also just finished Continuum, which is a canadian show I guess, it was on Netflix as a recommendation, really liked it. Inspired me to change up my stock portfolio. LOL!

I wanted to reply sooner, but writing a post with the mobile phone kills me ehehe!
Who's the new doctor who? I'm watching the fourth season but I don't mind spoilers...
GoT..I too got disappointed so much, i could enjoy only the first season and I had arguments in many forums...i can only hope it will improve in season four, but we need a miracle.
I don't watch tv anymore, because it is only trash here, and the few shows that might interesting me are always so late, i don't like long waitings eheh... I get everything from the web...
I'm watching Continuum too, i like it but I find that the story really is taking too much time to develop...and i can't stand Fonegra...u_u he's useless.
What is Orange is the new black? I've seen it around..do you like it? What kind of show is?
As soon as i return home, i'll sure watch what you suggested...

Oh yah, I hate replying to anything on my android, I just read the posts and then go back and reply later. But sometimes thats a bad habit because I'll forget to go back and the notifications are gone to remind me. LOL!
The new Doctor will be Peter Capaldi. I'm glad they are changing honestly. I enjoyed some of the episodes with Matt Smith and felt like he brought a good humor to the show, but honestly, the coolest thing about him is his outfit in my opinion. I feel no emotional connection to Smith or any of the characters who played his companions. So looking forward to a new Doctor, hopefully he'll be more my style. I think Tennant had the best story and Donna was easily my favorite companion even though in the beginning I was like, WHY HER?! She won me over fast. But I have always thought that Ecclesston, as far as the new Doctor's go, had the best look and I think Peter can pull off the same thing - so if he gets as good of writing as Tennant I forsee him being my favorite.
Yah, GOT is a lot of hype in my opinion. Honestly, I only find the acting done by the Lannister characters to be anything special. The rest falls really flat for me, which is just too bad. Plus the changes are a distraction, especially the really minor and completely unneccessary ones. Not to mention they have changed a lot of character builds I felt important as well as character trajectory. And my biggest peeve is the Stannis storyline which is just utter horse shit, I started going to the kitchen or bathroom everytime they went to his story on the show last season. I would just get the worst nerd-rage it wasn't worth watching. LOL!!
Yah, I don't watch a lot of actual TV, I actually don't have regular Television in my house at all, I just have my computer hooked up to my TV and use the internet to watch Netflix or Hulu or just YARR it all. I was going to a friends to watch GOT on there tv and party. But pretty much, yes, it's all trash, very rarely do I find something that impresses me. Plus, I just hate commercials.
Okay, I completely agree about Continuum, it takes SO long for the main story arch to progress, but it's so enjoyable when it does it's hard to break free. I didn't care for Fonnegra either. I like when we get to learn more about Alec though, and I really like the way they put a spin on the story. How Liber8 is the "bad guy" of the story, but really, they're basically American Patriots that want to break free from a Coporate Political Regime. It bring POV into perspective quite a bit. Plus, I just like it because that is how I imagine The Chandrian. LOL!!
Orange is the New Black is an original series from Netflix. I just finished it. It was enjoyable enough. It's basically about a middle class girl who gets busted for something she did 10 years ago and has to go to prison for it and then how she deals with it and how it changes her, plus a bunch of drama and lesbians. LOL. Kind've a cliffhanger ending though.

Ok... I'm starting to lose myself in this topic, there's too much to talk about ! Maybe we should have a new board? I'll make the suggestion to Scott, later. Doctor Who: I'll admit it, my main problem with this serie is that I find hard to get used to new characters, because I tend to be affectionated to the old ones... I don't know if I will like this new doctor, but I'll give him a chance! GoT: I love the Lannister's outfits, and I like how they can really change the watcher's feelings, just appearing on the screen... Jeoffrey in particular, he doesn't even need to speak to be hated. That's amazing for me, the actor really does a wonderful job. Without them I would get bored. As for Stannis... well, I think he doesn't came out at all..sometimes I almost forget him ! Too bad, I liked him in the books. Continuum: the whole first season was like "you don't say?", the plot was too obvious. You could easily tell that Keira's jump in the past wasn't just a mistake, and that Julian was involved. No big surprises. I find this new season more enjoyable because is more umpredictable, but it lacks some action. Who is this Emily? It's about time we discover something about her... Orange is the New Black: my sub community decided to sub it...so, now that I'm back home, I'll watch it and I'll let you know what I think about it!

I'm still watching Dexter and.... I don't really know why at this point. It's like a friend I like a lot who's stayed at my house way too late and now I'm just hanging out because he's leaving soon and I'd feel bad if I kicked him out right before his trip. It's not going anywhere in particular and the characters are all starting to bore and annoy me.
"Oh hey Deb, nevermind that you're not a cop anymore and we suspected you of murder a couple weeks ago - want to come in to our crime scene and hang out?"
Edit: I quit watching Orange after 4 episodes because I found it to be too bleak, but I totally get the appeal. The supposed innocence of everyone in the prison was a little tough for me to stomach but the characters are all pretty well thought-out. It's a little heavy-handed for me.

You can make Topics all you want Alexiel as long as you aren't spamming and they are all different subjects. I think the point of the forum is to talk about stuff and personally, I see relations to KKC in just about everything including most of the TV shows we're discussing.
I just finished the rest of Continuum this week. I actually liked the ending, but my boyfriend thought it was stupid and that they added to much new storylines to the ending. That being said, it kinda stoked me out to see next season. And something will come of Emily, I felt she played a role anyway. I think my favorite character just has to be Kellog though. Did you see the scene yet where he is stalking Lucas to the night club and gets caught, but then acts like Lucas is the one stalking him. LOL, man, I never would have thought of anything that devious ever, so I had to put it the backlogs for "just in case" scenarios. LOL
Orange was okay. I enjoyed it enough, but could see how it could also get old if that makes sense. I agree, it definitely isn't something I'd be watching with children around, but since I don't have to worry about that...I get to watch all kinds of unsavory things. BAHAHAHA. No, but for reals, I was a little surprised chicks were getting it on with eachother within 4 minutes, I was like...holy shit, someone beat HBO's record!!
