Hey, not sure if this is the correct folder, but I thought I'd get the ball rolling on compiling a list of all the things that need to happen in the last book. The list is long, and I sure hope we get resolution to all of these cliffhangers!!! I'll list some of the things I can think of off the top of my head, and add as suggestions come in! In the Waystone/frame story:
1. What is in the thrice-locked chest? 2. How did "Kote" come to be/how did Kvothe lose his powers? 3. Who is Bast and how did he meet Kvothe/Kote? 4. What are the scrael and where are they from? How did they get out? 5. What is the war that is currently going on/for which King? In Kvothe's story:1. When/ how does he meet Abenthy again? 2. When/how does he meet Skarpi again? For that matter, WHO is Skarpi? 3. Who is Denna? 4. Who is Meluan Lackless in relation to Kvothe (assuming we get some confirmation!!) 5. What is behind the door on the Lackless property? 6. Who is the King Kvothe kills? 7. What did Kvothe do at the University such that the stones cannot be repaired? 8. How does Kvothe get expelled? (assuming it isn't his previous expulsion that got repealed) 9. What is the Underthing? 10. Who is Denna's patron? 11. Who are the Chandrian, and what did Cinder do to Cthaeh? 12. Who is Princess Ariel? 13. Who are the princesses that Kvothe steals from sleeping barrow kings? 14. How do you make an ever-burning lamp? joking, joking.... Okay, I'm sure I've forgotten loads, so have at it!

Wayward inn.
I can answer your question on the scraeling and war. 1. Scraelings are fae creatures. 2. The war that is currently happening would probably be between humans and fae.
Kvothe story. 1. Kvothe kills Cinder 2. Cinder is posing as the king. 3. Chaendrians are the seven traitors of the old world + Haliax . The are running from Sithe because they've talke to Cthaeh. 4. Denna is a princess. She's usually missing because she goes home. There is no Mr. Ash. Her father is the king. She's beaten as punishment. (Cant believe no one proposed that theory). 5.

As we read we can see that a war is running out there, so, I guess that Kvothe is gonna end his story and get back to action as the hero he is, may end with the war or something like that. I've read somewhere, maybe at the GoodReads forum, I honestly don't remember, that may the series will not end at the third book, but K's story yes, in the sequels, or a second trilogy, Kvothe may get back to action, I don't know... And in the start of the NotW, Kvothe uses his "new name", Kote, going on it starts to describe him in the interlude as Kvothe again, not Kote, witch may mean that Kvothe is getting back, letting Kote behind, so I guess that the third book is going to have something instead of the end of the story, may the back of Kvothe, the Bloodless. I can't wait for next year :x (Fogive me if my english isn't so good, I'm brazilian.)
